The Juneteenth Leading Lady is free to download, and has been created to celebrate the legalization of June 19 officially becoming a United States Holiday. May the citizens of this country and this world never forget the atrocities committed unto those enslaved.
The United States is a land where immigrants proclaim freedom. It is a land where settlers came, found land inhabited by others, and claimed it for themselves. The importation of human lives to forcibly work plantation fields is a crime many would like to turn a shoulder and look a blind eye upon.
The foundation of this country was built upon the backs and with the hands of enslaved people. Every brick and stone laid represents thousands of lives lost to time, but who’s handprint and hard work carved this new nation into creation.
